MEET YOUR LEADERS
Karla Rochin-Foust, I started my fitness journey back in February 2013 when the doctors kept telling me I was on the verge of Diabetes. With that said, I had to change to a healthy lifestyle and so far so good. This has been a hard journey, not everything is rainbows and unicorns. When you have great days, feeling good and motivated makes it easier to get out there and move, but when you are feeling down or not motivated makes it so hard to put those running shoes on. My friends told me once (when I was feeling sorry for myself): you can be a victim and feel down or you can be victorious and keep your head up, kick ass no matter what. Since then, I have in my head that no matter how you feel or how your day goes we need to be grateful for what we have, who we are and where we are at. I’ve been moving since 2013 as well as challenging myself to do more and be better at it. I love running, no matter what distance, I enjoy it and feel free while doing it. Also, I added cycling, swimming and cross fitness to my life and oh boy it has been amazing.
I want to share my experience, knowledge, stories, ups and downs and motivate people to work on the best version of themselves and never give up. . I’m still working on my improving my version so why not do it with an amazing group of gals to have my back and vice versa.
Hey ladies!! My name is Michel Sisneros, raised in Tijuana and living in San Diego for the past 2 years. I am 37 years old, full time working mom of 3 & loving wife (ask the hubby).
My running journey began with the 2016 Tinkerbell Half Marathon, it seemed like an impossible thing to do, I’ve never been athletic and never ran more than a 5k. With my family and friends support I completed my training and race, the feeling of accomplishment was the best!
I didn’t represent the “normal runner” and I didn’t care! Finding Kelly Roberts and her BALG was so important when things got rough, running has brought me happy moments and it’s been there when depression & anxiety try to sneak in my life.
So grateful and blessed to be a part of this community and looking forward to leading the San Diego BALG along Karla!
